Description
This is the last of the ink surge that hit me in mid January. I don't know what will show up next--I've got some home projects to take care of for the time being.
Regardless, the original is 10" x 13" (25 cm x 32 cm), done in pen and ink, and took me about 45 hours (should have taken me about 30, but, oh well...).
Had references for the horses--they are my most obvious weakness in drawing. And I looked at some Mongol warrior designs, too.
And, I titled this so that I could add more to the whole "Carried Away" theme, with the perpetrators being other historical figures who engaged in such a terrible deed...

There is a Russian novel called "The Land behind the Fog" (Земля за туманом), by Ruslan Melnikov (Руслан Мельников). It describes how the army of the Mongolian commanders Jebe and Subedei (who actually existed), thanks to the chrono anomaly, falls into our time and attacks the modern city. This picture could serve as an illustration for it!)
