With the gremlins in flight, Annalae carefully sees to the feral cat. Even with the Cat Witch's soothing way and careful approach, the feline is defensive and hostile as Annalae loosens the gremlins' ropes and nooses.

One of the most important lessons I've ever learned in life: An angry/scared cat, feral or domestic, hates *everyone*. ;)

On a more serious note, it's nice to see a hint of what could be Anna's, the murderess witch, softer side in trying to help out the unfortunate kitty. Though I'll agree with other commenters that she would be wise to keep an eye or ear on her back...
