Uncertain of what has transpired and of what it means, Callista remains very still as Jervil snarls and stomps out of the workroom, gesturing the Runemotes to follow him. The Rat Rider, too, leaps down from the table and races off at Jervil's command. Slowly and subtly, the blonde woman begins testing and working the ropes around her wrists, arms, neck, and legs...
