A slight tug at her eyes warns her of the presence of some deceptive magic meant to cover up what she knows is there. Between her own knowledge of this layout of rooms and hallways, and the protective power of the Spear, Drea sees right through the illusion and spots the glowing rune that sustains it.

Before stands a bronze portal, the exact likeness of the doorway into Drea's own Hall of Judgment in the city above. The symbol of the scales of judgment are fashioned into knockers set at her shoulder level, and repeated below, while above her eye-level, the loft and objectivity of the Harbinger's viewpoint is suggested by the double wings.

Drea has entered through doors just like these almost daily for the last seven years. Save for the darkness and the cobwebs and deceptive magic, the whole scene almost could be within her palace and court.

With these impressions comes the idea that, whoever has been behind the criminal activity plaguing Dernhem and centered on the Fair Harvest Inn, is likely to be behind that door. It is just a hunch, but she has learned to trust those hunches when they deal with danger and crime. So, clutching the Spear, the Magistrate of Dernhem walks toward the portal.

It is time to confront the villain behind this, once and for all.
