Hell's Angel: Descent by faile35 Hell's Angel: Descent by faile35
This is the third in the Hell's Angel Series.
The previous one is here .
The next one is here .

Notice that her angelic robe is becoming more and more torn. That trend continues. I'll have to check the "mature content" box when I put the next ones up. By the way, I call her, "Gelica." I hope you like it. I did these about 6 years ago. My favorite part of this one is still the little demon on the lower right, sitting on the stairs, bored ("Nothing FUN ever happens around here..."). ;)

Enjoy!

This is just a wonderful piece!  This sort of minute "line work" (I don't know how to properly refer to it) lends itself so well to this theme because of it's ability to convey darkness without losing detail.  Just compelling!

I love the imps XD Its kind of you know you should dislike them since they're evil and everything, but the way they're fighting or just sitting there bored is hilarious.

Thanks a ton! The imps fighting over the halo was a fun detail--anything to break up the texture of that rough rock wall (that took up most of the time). =)

Hmmm. I don't know what a "Chick pamphlet" is, but if it has a beautiful woman, chains, and devils, it sounds like the kind of thing I'd look at and read. =)

Actually, Chick pamphlets are published by a Christian fundamentalist organization, and they're handed out by fundamentalists in the hopes of winning over converts. I was referring more to the style of your art than the content, so don't bother taking those pamphlets in the hopes that you'll see beautiful women in chains. Besides, they don't like perverts like you and I.

Well! =) If you glance over the rest of the sub-gallery, you'll see that things are definitely heading in that direction, although such a thing couldn't be shown here on DA, certainly. Thanks!

Ugh! What're you talking about? If you just search 'rape' you'll fine LOADS of graphic stuff! as long as no one complains, no one cares. *pouts* Pleaeeeeease?!

Well, no, not really. I did a search and glanced through four pages of 120 deviations and while there was plenty of suggestive stuff, some written stuff, plenty of anti-rape imagery showing women in post-rape depression and trauma, and some provocative images that paint a more playful definition/approach to the word (like this: [link] ), the only things I saw that were at all similar to what I would draw and post were these: [link] , [link] , [link] , [link] , and even [link] . Without intending to say anything about the artistic skill or merit of those I listed, nor about their worthiness on DA, a drawing that I would do would show everything or so blatantly imply everything that would be in violation of DA's policy. I have no illusions about this--I've seen pieces done by fellow respected deviants pulled down and I just don't need to go there. I enjoy my interaction here too much to flirt with it. Sorry.

If I find a place to post more graphic art, I'll post a link on some of these pages in series that lead up to such imagery. That's the best I can do. :salute:

This is just so beautiful. I spent maybe 15 mins just staring at this thing, and I STILL didn't get every detail. I notice the light at the bottom of the tunnel is fascinating. This entire thing could be taken as a simple drawing, or chalk full of symbolism. I can't even imagine what would happen if I took this to a collage art class. or philosophy. They'd go nuts.

My mom doesn't get it. She thinks I'm depraved. I just have a penchant for good art. THIS is good art!

Wow. I haven't been replying to a lot of comments lately (because of my poor health at the moment), but I'll make a quick exception here. Thank you for voicing your appreciation for this piece. I'm quite glad that you can find it inspiring artistically, in spite of the somewhat disturbing subject matter. I've had several philosophical discussions about this piece and others like it, mostly regarding why I would want to or need to draw such a thing. Usually, the only answers arrived at are "I have no idea," or "Because I like drawing beautiful, pure women in peril," and "Because the story of life is that evil threatens and good triumphs in the end." The latter is debatable, both in philosophy and in my art, since I've drawn lots of pictures of poor Gelica and she hasn't come any closer to freedom, righteous vengeance, or a more modest wardrobe... ;)

Thanks a ton! I'm very glad you enjoyed it. =)

I love the irony here. It's exactly as The Word states about Lilithannic, mother of the Nephilim, being set to be held in Chains of Darkness, untill the great white throne judgement.

That she-angel is really a devil second in title only to the enemy, and this shows divine punishment for nearly destroying humanity. She got way closer then the slanderer ever did, or will. Reserved into chains of darkness unto the last judgement.

This is SO amusing to view ^_^ Fav'd!

The wraith of YHWH on display indeed.

Amazing!! Best of the series yet as well for me - from gloomy to variation of figures on all the imps (yes including "mr bored" on bottom right!). Great details again, even the imps are fighting over the halo. Definately made my favourites list!

:giggle: Yeah, I'm "good" at "evil." And my mother is so proud! ;) Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy this one--it's one of the first more erotic and kinky images I drew in pen and ink, and I've always liked how it turned out with her glow, look of disgust (my favorite thing, I think), and the Mr. Bored Devil...

Yeah, I actually did the WIDOW stuff in my scraps a couple years before I drew this one, but I never really liked how most of those turned out--they felt forced, and I was unsure of how to draw that kind of material (um, the same way I draw everything else, duh!). But when I drew this one, things were coming together just fine. =) Thanks! "Keep going down," you say? Thanks! Don't mind if I do... :plotting:
