Naglfar-Detail by faile35 Naglfar-Detail by faile35
Here's a close-up of the ship, although I'm still being stingy with the resolution. Not many folks have seen this before now, even though it's almost two years old, and I'm a bit protective of it. ;) In any case, before anyone "corrects" me, I know the Vikings didn't wear horned helms. But no one ever said the Norse giants didn't wear horned helms! So there! =) Enjoy! --Faile35

The original? Actually, this is just a closeup of the ship, minus the terrain beneath it, which is visible here: faile35.deviantart.com/art/Nag… . I don't sell original art often, though there are prints of this available. Are you interested in buying the original? Regardless, thank you for the interest. =)

You are welcome to put it on a T-shirt. Let me know how that turns out, and if the resolution is sufficient. =)

Jeff, you say stingy but I would say modest or economical, because the image is still visible. Anyway, from a man who denies that he is handsome on behlaf of fearless leader DocRedfield lol I should hardly expect less, right? But you are a fantastic artist in your field. Btw, as you can tell, the last icon you sent me succeeded. Thanks again for that. It is really swell.

Thank you very much. =) I'm glad you like it, and while I'm no bodice-ripper book cover model, I don't think I'm too hard on the eyes. ;) I'm very glad the avatar is to your liking and that it's working.

Thank you! =) I'm glad you like it. What exactly is a Perfect World Guild? ("Aesir" is a good name for such an image, obviously.)

ÆSIR is the name of my clan/guild for the MMORPG Perfect World. I think the games setting is Chinese mythology though. My clan just adds the Norse touch to it lol.

I guess for anymore information you would have to look it up.

The vertical linework offers a great atmosphere and texture. Beautiful piece. Not enough people are doing pen and ink these days...

Thanks. I've got a werewolf eating his dinner in the same technique that I'm saving for October. It's not as blatant and bold as your gorey monsters, but it's still kinda yucky... ;) I'm actually leaving pen and ink behind now in favor of digital art. Gotta' dive right into it and not look back until I've found my confidence and style with it, then pen and ink might show up again... =)

Thanks a ton! It is to the avid Norse historian (or follower of "trivia") that I make the apology for horn-helmed Vikings--I think they SHOULD have had horned helms because horned helms are so cool. =) --Faile35

I think those of us who just like the Viking thing, and know nothing otherwise, horns on helmets seems perfectly acceptable...I am no scholar nor a follower of trivia...I just know and love the lyrical and fantastic...they should, indeed, sport horned helms!
