Back beneath the Fair Harvest Inn, Valerin is being slowly marched through the darkness by her gremlin captors. In mingled humiliation and shock, she tries to calm her panicked mind and consider her situation. Though only a handful of the hateful creatures work to keep her under control, their power over her is made effective by the ties on her ankles, wrists, elbows, and neck. And always the rasping chuckle of the thing on her shoulder reminds her of its grip on the choking line around her throat.

Okay, as this one neared completion, it definitely gave Page50-ish faile35.deviantart.com/art/Rat… a run for its money as my favorite Valerin picture. The look on ~catchan 's face as captured by *Viator-Defessus was perfect in the reference, and the whole thing just popped in there like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. If you like what you see, let 'em know!

As the reader may guess from my writing above, this image will accompany the narrative's return from a cut scene above in the Fair Harvest Inn between Albert, Deirdre, and the mystery character (not really that big a mystery, actually). This means that the non-Albert sections of the chapter are coming together at long last...
