Emanating from the statue's sword, the figure of Lady Maladyne Mitesceru is nothing more than sorcerous energy and light, a fraction of memory given wisp-like form and fashioned to resemble she who literally gave it life. But as in all such Fadings, Avora can sense the limitations of the resemblance: the pale, transparent glow of the eyes, the ironic combination of stiffness and wavering frailty of a form that is buffeted by the slightest current in the air, and the unmistakable mystical aura surrounding the person as if it were some mischievous, transformed mote that would shrink and dart away from the viewer at any second.

In spite of these discrepancies, the sorcerous construct is the closest Avora has come to the figure in question for ten very long years, and she freezes to keep her composure as the image speaks with a voice even more unmistakable as that of Maladyne Mitesceru. "Lady Avora Villios," the Fading says somberly, "Dear Sister, I knew you would come."

Okay, we're still just about on shedule-... uh, schedule. ;) Maladyne and the Harbinger statue were both drawn from the reference images provided by someone I'll be quite pleased to introduce everyone to, and when I do, I'll see if I can get her to upload some of the images she's sent from which I'm working.

Enjoy!

Note: Twisted Plot and Demon's Due are a work of fantasy and fiction. The artist/creator in no way condones this kind of treatment toward any woman or man, by living person, gremlin, plant, assassin, ratman, viscous fluid, programmed device, animated home furnishings, or otherworldly spiritual beings. Furthermore, the artist opposes the marginalizing and restriction of women in general by any institution, political and/or religious, including those which have individual women amongst their membership touting/promoting their own happiness within that institution as evidence that ALL women should feel the same way. This includes the religion I was raised in and which I have utterly discarded from my life over this and other issues.

I moan in dismay at the loss of the original sorceress model....this seems much a lesser variation...not wholly suited to the role, I feel. but mayhap that will prove to just be an effect of the 'mystical reproduction'. :)
