It always bothered me how vampires would "take" their victims by seduction instead of force--I'd think women would run like hell if they knew their evening's date had fangs and was only interested in "getting some." However, I'm not a woman, so there may be some mystique there that I just can't "vibe" into. My wife says that vampires are usually so handsome that their victims are swooning, and so forth... Hey, I saw "Dracula"; was Bela Lugosi handsome?! Pardon my 80s' jargon, but "NOT!" Hence the ropes on her wrists and the fist in her hair...
~pinktat wrote a short fiction story that fits this really well. Check it out here. [link]
Well, perhaps Bela Lugosi wasn't handsome, but there have been plenty of other "lookers" in the vampire feild. Just looks at Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Antonio Banderas in "Interview with a Vampire" (and I'm not big on the normally). And the Mr. Fang you've drawn doesn't exactly look as though he'd be avoiding mirrors even if he HAD a reflection.
Very good job though. ^^
I love the expression he has... she seems so afraid...
Vampires are said to have special powers such as hypnosis to obligate their victims to follow them... and they often have much charisma. And, yeah, if you have seen "Interview with a Vampire", you can't say they aren't beautyfull

Never saw that one. Tom's not my favorite. Nor Antonio. I like lots of Brad Pitt's stuff, though... As far as my pictures go, I have a difficult time drawing and painting anyone who is NOT good-looking. --Faile35
I haven't. I saw "Underworld," but that didn't have a lot of interactions between vampires and humans. I imagine the vampire hypnosis to work like a Jedi Mind Trick- "Credits will do fine"... "No, they won't!" --Faile35
It's one of my favourite vampire films (but I'm not overly big on horror). Neither of them are really my favourite, but I can't deny that they've got looks. Especially when they're all vamped up.
Hmm, yeah, a lot of people who draw seem to do that.
A woman of stronger constitution would likely be less susseptable to the charms of a vampire.
Probably making her that much more desirable to the vampire.
Hence the need for some restraining.

"Doomsday device?...I suppose I could part with one and still be feared..."
This one is very good. I find that there is more than just one school of thought on the whole "how a vamp gets thing on". For some, it IS a seduction, for others, it's an adventure with risk, and for many, it is more along the lines of a rape. This guy might be able to seduce, but maybe he thinks a "Eau de Terror" tastes a bit better. Either way, excellent facial expressions
