***********************************************

But though Uncle Anjer’s enchanted corpse continued on as a phantom-like custodian to his great sorcery, the Bookbinding was fulfilled and its bonds shattered, freeing the supernatural force now imbued with a hunger and potential for far more than it had previously known. Its scattered fragments drew together, collecting into one massive, hungering consciousness that is rather more the mob or the army directed by a single outspoken voice. To Uncle Anjer, the psychic fragment was both “it” and “he,” though “they” would be a more appropriate reference for the collective consciousness. To me, “they” remains the reference of choice, allowing me to distinguish the dreaded composite thing I must now serve from the loving man of conscience whose voice it uses.

As always, Elina was drawn with the awesome reference material provided by Emily at Feathered-pics :worship: . She gave me a ton of good, expressive photos as her gallery shows, and at long last, I'm finding that I've used up a healthy amount of them. Thanks, Emily! =D

The reference I used for this is entitled Grief_3 from Emily's gallery.

Enjoy! =)

Note: Web of Betrayal and Demon's Due are a work of fantasy and fiction. The artist/creator in no way condones real mistreatment of this kind toward any woman or man, by living person, gremlin, plant, assassin, ratman, viscous fluid, programmed device, animated home furnishings, or otherworldly spiritual beings. Furthermore, the artist opposes the marginalizing and restriction of women in general by any institution, political and/or religious, including those which have individual women amongst their membership touting/promoting their own happiness within that institution as evidence that ALL women should feel the same way. This includes the religion I was raised in and which I have utterly discarded from my life over this and other issues.
