“What do you think I can do, child?” the Chief Scribe inquires plainly, as if the very question would disarm the Scholar’s thoughts.

“I am not the Lady of Light and Blade,” the Scholar responds evenly. “I am merely a human, with human wants and needs, uncertainty and ignorance in my perspective, so I can’t be a guide for you to point you to whatever course of action it is right for you to follow. But if you must embrace regrets for your every decision, then perhaps you could choose your regrets and act accordingly. Whether you teach sorcery to a jackrat or imbue spectacles with the power to see through magic, you may anticipate and embrace one body of regret and let chance bury the other away from your memory. While this is not the answer to everything, Theronaskos, perhaps it can be… something.”

Elina was drawn using the reference material provided me by Feathered-pics . Thanks, Emily! =D

Enjoy! =)

Note: Web of Betrayal and Demon's Due are a work of fantasy and fiction. The artist/creator in no way condones real mistreatment of this kind toward any woman or man, by living person, gremlin, plant, assassin, ratman, viscous fluid, programmed device, animated home furnishings, or otherworldly spiritual beings. Furthermore, the artist opposes the marginalizing and restriction of women in general by any institution, political and/or religious, including those which have individual women amongst their membership touting/promoting their own happiness within that institution as evidence that ALL women should feel the same way. This includes the religion I was raised in and which I have utterly discarded from my life over this and other issues.
