Essentially, this is the stuff that's going through Annalae's mind...

The ceiling shakes with the muffled thunder of collapsing timbers, spilling dust from above. Whatever magics that rat Jervil used to counter the Magistrate's assault, it must have been devastating. Even with her grasp on the Cat Shade secure, Annalae has always hated the Undercellar. And with Callista working as a go-between, she never had to come here when the courtesan scam was working out. All that changed a year ago, when Luther figured out Annalae was involved in the merchants' deaths. Since then, Annalae has grown to hate Luther Vandermoor and that self-defeating Seeress, Zirena. Burning Zirena's wagon home to cinders was the least she could do...
