In the midst of the raging inferno of sorcerous energy and flame that was once the Fair Harvest Inn, Lady Drea Aliandis berates herself for a fleeting, flippant thought: Luther Vandermoor was right.

That fact is obvious and indesputable now, as flashes of blue, green, and purple magics burst about her and merge into the dazzling display of destructive force and consuming fire. The moment she had slain the walking corpse of that worm, Albert Fiskerne, she had been almost overcome by relief at the powers of her armor. The runes had decimated the walls and ceiling of the structure in an eruption of light, after which the tons of debris had cascaded down around her in lethal clouds, but the armor had sheltered her as if she was still securely back on her seat of judgment, hearing tell of the inn's destruction from a messenger.

But not everyone was as lucky as she. The Spear of Retribution was channeling enough strength into her arm to drag her fallen guardsman through the ruins, but she suspected whoever he was, if he were not already dead, he would be soon. She needed to get him to safety, but the burning maze of fallen timbers and rubble seemed impenetrable without dragging her burden through certain doom, so she stumbled onward in search of zones of cooler air. The Spear's black tip absorbed as much of the heat energy as possible to keep the air from searing the guardsman's lungs.

Like I said in my journal entry, "Let's get this &%@#$ thing done, already!" So, here's the first page of "Coils of Fate," with the very first image using a new stock model. As always, if you can guess who this DA personality is, I'll add some of your deviations to the "'Demon's Due' Defined" journal entry that is linked to all of these pages. Regardless, I'll introduce her later when more of her becomes visible, and I'm talking about her face...
